A standout dish was the roasted corn, which was just slightly spicy and very flavorful. Little owl has an incredible outdoor dining setup. I would have liked to have seen the heat lamps that were sitting inside the restaurant brought outdoors, but we made due by keeping our jackets on. This is the quaintest local restaurant! Others ordered were the Caesar salad (simple, but refreshing and delicious), the mushroom risotto (mix in the egg while the dish is still piping hot as it will cool down exceptionally outside), the breakfast patties (a complimentary side to the otherwise mostly vegetarian meal), french fries (perfectly crisp and seasoned), and the beignets (the chef’s interpretation on the classic dessert rather than traditional beignets, served with chocolate-hazelnut and berry jam dipping sauces).The real standout, however, was the service. After an 90 min we were asked if we minded moving to a side table to have our coffee. I’m glad we shared dishes so that we could experience an array of what The Little Owl had to offer.
