shipwrecked together
It came out on Mac and Linux after being finalized on Windows. I'm actually a collaborator for your mod for the Spanish translation. A year or more. They have to fix a ton of stuff to make it even viable for multiplayer. They're pretty much said flat-out it won't happen. "Please add 5-6 biomes, reskinned mobs, content that doesnt really work on its own or with the normal game, bugs upon bugs upon bugs upon bugs and really just doesn't feel like don't starve in every possible way except for the good ones". But, yeah, as much as I would love shipwrecked or adventure mode for DST, I think they deserve to have their own schedule. I'll hapilly stick with Island Adventures. Shumee, July 15, 2016 in [Don't Starve Together] General Discussion, Please add Shipwrecked DLC to DST. Hope you'll give our mod a shot! : P  ALL HAIL THE FLUFFY MESSIAH! Seeing how it can be difficult to survive, we thought about if, islands were based to an individual, say every person had their own island to, see how each other would survive though we thought that might be too, difficult seeing that if someone dies, it could be an issue to revive the. Now the two games are becoming increasingly incompatible with each other, with every update, bugfix and mod becoming harder to apply across all the different versions. (We already have temperatures, I mean stuff like hail, strong winds, flooding, and volcano eruptions), -Treasure Hunting Seeing how it can be difficult to survive, we thought about if islands were based to an individual, say every person had their own island to see how each other would survive though we thought that might be too difficult seeing that if someone dies, it could be an issue to revive the dead player. DST's limited(a lot more content than SW though) but via console you can reset ruins and caves, and with unlimited thulecite, etc. We already have that development in progress on Island Adventures. And now in less Shipwrecked Bashing: You're not missing much. (I'd chop down and dig up all the birch trees and plant coconuts in their place, if I got around to it...unless there was another Oasis Catcoon. We're pretty far along in development, our list of what we're missing is pretty small: -SW Only Worldgen A couple of my friends and I got to talking about what would happen if Together had the Shipwrecked mode and how it would start off. We have a discord linked on the workshop page for any questions you may have. (Or paddleable, in this case.) And....here's some from The Tropical Experience, aka The Volcano Biome as it was called at the time. What do you guys think? (Right now our only preset is "Merged", which generates the RoG continent as the spawn area, but surrounded by SW water and content once you sail off. This topic is now archived and is closed to further replies. I thought Through the Ages was already done? Because THAT'S intelligent. Officially revealed on July 30, 2015, and officially released on March 31, 2016, Shipwrecked was co-developed by the indie studio Capy Games. (If you're on console I apologise, as none of the stuff I just said is useful to you.). And palm trees. Basically what our mod does is carry over the SW DLC over to Don't Starve Together, with little to no changes along the way, except for the ones that accommodate multiplayer. What I'm saying is, give Klei at least a year before pestering them about Shipwrecked Together. I wouldn't mind if they ported a few things over from Shipwrecked, but I don't really want/need the whole game added to DST. Yes you are! Hallowed Nights shenanigans:  The poor game didn't know how to put the trinkets in properly, with ocean in the way. And btw, I too prefer IA over the tropical mod, the first one is much better regarding both content and stability. Personally I respect a good challenge. Poetic. Also, whose a sleepy boy? Only think missing from both mods so far is the weather system. Oooh, this question gets asked every now and then on a regular like-clockwork schedule, it seems. Ty for the update and Ty for being passionate for the sw together experience. A couple of my friends and I got to talking, about what would happen if Together had the Shipwrecked mode and how it would, start off. Wigfrid jumps into a random water-hole in the middle of winter. Because it's not in DST's FAQ thread like it should be. It would certainly be tons of fun, and I do hope it happens some day. you can actually build a megabase, aka what most people do when they see everything the game has to offer. But, they're from my own personal playthrough, so hey. Klei has a lot more important things to focus on before they even think about adding Shipwrecked Together. (Here's a link to the mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1467214795&searchtext=island+adventures). Wigfrid never lived long enough to get them together, though--this was a Survival server, which is why Wickerbottom is in the other picture. Can you do THIS in Island Adventures: Tropical Experience is a truly enlightening... well, experience. But like I said earlier, these pictures are from WAY back, so they're not accurately representing The Tropical Experience as it is today. Starting December 15, 2014, Don't Starve Together Beta was in … The boating system for example, what if there were two or three person boats? I really should try that mod again, although I'll probably have to generate a new world by now. They have the volcano working, the naval experience and content is pretty much complete. (Including coffee!) It would be nice but klei said it won't be happening any soon, they don't even have plans about it, if it happens it would take REALLY long since they still have to finish the DLC (wich by itself is going for sure to take a few months) and after that they would have to rebalance everything to put in together. (I'm fairly new to the fandom, so maybe.). We wanna make our mod as polished and shiny as possible, after all. From Klei:  No. Date TBA. No actual sailable oceans or beaches are in these pictures because they weren't in the mod..._yet_. dead player. An inland sea biome would probably allow them to bring a few cool things over from Shipwrecked while still keeping the game RoG-centric. Well maybe they could make the shipwreck that the parrot talks to you on when you first enter (the DSS version of Maxwell) be destroyable by your fists and break into 1 flint and some wood. And while we're on water-related mods...Creeps in the Deeps, because I can! So when you first join, the parrot pops up and the shipwreck is there. I'd love to see the entire cast of characters from the single player game (tweaked for RoG relevancy, of course) in DST eventually though, but not if it meant cutting new, original content. I assumed the game would just...not allow you from walking where the programming says you can't, as most games since the Atari 2600 do, but...  (Aka the "invisible wall" thing.). It also contains Shipwrecked stuff. i would like this to go multi-player but a lot of adjustments have to be made for better resource allocation, i can def picture people yelling "where is base?" : P  This is a singleplayer mod, by the way, but I included it 'cos it's such a neat idea. Oh, gosh. Please be aware that the content of this thread may be outdated and no longer applicable. Personally I respect a good challenge. And...whoops, I just realised it's been updated a LOT since I took these pictures, such as now it has mod-specific worldgen settings and actual ocean. (We'll likely revisit the item pool for this), -Quacken Has anything been said about this? This topic is now archived and is closed to further replies. That actually kinda scares me. I haven't actually tried it out yet, though.) as they join the server and then cannot make it through (now travelling from one place to another is not as easy as it would be in the main game / ROG). But I would like to ask you one thing: on Island Adventure you could not ride the beefalo of water... on the water?? Sonar Cero, December 11, 2015 in [Shipwrecked] Early-Access Archive. (We're gonna be revamping him into a raid boss due to how much of a pushover he is in singleplayer). A couple of my friends and I got to talking about what would happen if Together had the Shipwrecked mode and how it would start off. It would be the perfect counterpart of ground beef and it would be fun! Not that I wouldn't want to set sail with my friends tho. Specially prenerf. Because WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU DO, while playing something called "Island Adventures"? I know that maybe it's something difficult to make technically... but dreaming does not cost anything, not? I'm still hoping for more content on Shipwrecked part. Any of these could be possible, and would present new challenges to the table. BUT if you sail off into the SW area, the SW colorcubes kick in to match, as well as appropriate temperature, wave frequency, AND music. Though we got to thinking if everyone were on the same island, then resources might run a little on the thin side, but what if the number of, players were limited to say four, or possibly increase the size of the, islands. They even have extra features from Gorge and Hamlet. Waiting for battleship, which one drive, another fire with canon and the others fires with spears. By Though we got to thinking if everyone were on the same island, then resources might run a little on the thin side, but what if the number of players were limited to say four, or possibly increase the size of the islands. Then I'd leave the trees alone.). Am I missing something? Any of these could be possible, and would present new challenges to, the table. This mod at normal settings, however, takes EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK, tosses it into a blender, and says "Have at." It's a joke with how I'm walking on water. A screenshot from ACTUAL Shipwrecked. (That includes related mobs and items like the volcanic tab, dragoons and coffee), -Seasonal Weather Effects Doydoys! However, sign-ups for a limited-access, closed Beta were released. Although it actually has been quite a while since one of these threads popped up. You might wander into a ruins biome on the surface or be confronted with Sudden Ewecus. : P. Seriously, how much better would the oasis look if it had the ACTUAL kind of trees oases classically have, in pictures? It is also breaking up the community and modding efforts. We do have to remember that Don't Starve Together was also never supposed to happen, and all the topics asking for it were shut down saying it will never happen. Oh, I remember doing that in The Volcano Biome. Even if they added in into their FAQ, it still likely won't stop the frequency of these posts. you can also try to restrict yourselves play without mods and have every single resource on low or none and just basically make the game hard mode, If they ever add it i think it will be more like having the basic world but then being able to travel to more islands(imagine the normal world generating on the sw world)making a huge world wich would cause lag of course, but i would be less than adding a new one like caves.but also that would cause some problems with the seasons. Klei made a mistake when they decided to branch off DST as a separate game instead of making it a DLC. By Please add Shipwrecked DLC to DST. It'd be awesome to sail the seven seas as a monkey with some friends.
